Real to focus on Europe

Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster intends to focus on landing a tenth European Cup this season rather than a third straight domestic title, he told Marca in an interview published on Monday.
"This year that's what we're going to work on -- prioritising going further in Europe," said Schuster.
The nine-time European champions have consistently failed to reach even the quarter-finals of the Champions League in recent seasons. Their last win came in 2002 when a sublime Zinedine Zidane goal brought a triumph over Bayer Leverkusen.
"After winning the championship in the past two seasons everyone is thinking of the Champions League and so are we," said German Schuster.
"We want to see how far we can go in Europe -- and it's possible that at some point we will have to give more importance to this Cup."
